1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By accessing or using the Spotter ad detection service (the "Service"), whether through our
website, browser extension, or any other means, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service
("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately cease all use of the
Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Marcode Ltd ("we,"
"us," or "our").
2. DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICE
The Service provided by Marcode Ltd analyzes advertisements you encounter while browsing the
internet to identify potentially fraudulent or unauthorized advertisers. The Service operates as
a browser extension that scans ad content and reports findings to our backend servers for
verification and analysis.
3. MODIFICATIONS TO THE TERMS
3.1 We reserve the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms at any time
in our sole discretion without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon
posting on our website.
3.2 Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your
acceptance of the modified Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically
for changes.
3.3 If you do not agree with the modified Terms, your sole and exclusive remedy
is to discontinue using the Service.
4. ELIGIBILITY AND REGISTRATION
4.1 You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of legal majority in your
jurisdiction (whichever is greater) to use the Service.
4.2 By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet all
eligibility requirements and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
4.3 We reserve the right to refuse access to the Service to anyone at any time
for any reason whatsoever, in our sole discretion.
4.4 Each user is permitted to maintain only one account. You must use a single
email address and may not create multiple accounts under any circumstances. If you need to change
your registered email address, you must contact us at

5. USE OF THE SERVICE
5.1 Permitted Use
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may only
use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes unless explicitly authorized by us in
writing.
5.2 Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to misuse the Service or help anyone else do so. This includes, but is not limited
to:
- Using the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Service
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any portion or feature of the Service
- Using the Service to transmit any viruses, worms, defects, Trojan horses, malware, or any
other destructive items
- Circumventing, disabling, or otherwise interfering with security-related features of the
Service
- Attempting to decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or hack the Service
- Account farming, including but not limited to: creating or operating multiple accounts,
using multiple browser profiles, employing virtual machines, or using any automated means
to artificially inflate the number of advertisements scanned, increase chances of winning
prize draws, or obtain multiple bonus payouts
- Using scripts, bots, browser automation tools, or any other automated methods to interact
with the Service
- Colluding with others to manipulate prize draws or bonus eligibility
5.3 Violation of these prohibited conduct provisions may result in immediate
termination of your account, forfeiture of any pending rewards or prize draw entries, and
permanent disqualification from all promotions. We reserve the right to pursue legal action
where appropriate.
5.4 Automation Prohibition
No automation systems, including but not limited to browser automation tools, scripts, macros,
auto-clickers, or any software that simulates user activity, may be used to automate any part
of your usage of Spotter or your browsing activity while the extension is installed. If you
intend to use any automation systems for browsing or other purposes, you must first uninstall
the Spotter extension. Use of automation while the extension is active constitutes a violation
of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of all rewards.
6. NO WARRANTY AND DISCLAIMER
6.1 "As Is" and "As Available" Basis
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Marcode Ltd makes no
representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the operation,
performance, or availability of the Service.
6.2 Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MARCODE LTD EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES
AND CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND
NON-INFRINGEMENT
- ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR BE AVAILABLE ON AN
UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE BASIS
- ANY WARRANTY REGARDING THE RELIABILITY, TIMELINESS, ACCURACY, OR QUALITY OF THE SERVICE
- ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE IS FREE FROM VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MARCODE LTD, ITS AFFILIATES,
DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, PARTNERS, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT,
INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT
LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE
LOSSES.
8. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Marcode Ltd and its affiliates, officers,
directors, employees, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities,
damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys'
fees) arising out of or relating to your use of or access to the Service or your violation of
these Terms.
9. PRIVACY AND DATA COLLECTION
9.1 Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which
explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to
the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.
9.2 You understand and agree that no data transmitted over the internet can be
guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information
you transmit while using the Service.
10. TERMINATION
10.1 We reserve the right to suspend, disable, or terminate your access to the
Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including, without limitation, if we
believe that you have violated or acted inconsistently with the letter or spirit of these Terms.
10.2 Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms will
immediately cease, and you must promptly discontinue all use of the Service.
11. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
11.1 Governing Law
These Terms and your use of the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the
laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
11.2 Dispute Resolution
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the
Service shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the
London Court of International Arbitration and held in Bury St. Edmunds, England.
12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content, features, and functionality of the Service, including but not limited to all
information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio, and the design, selection, and
arrangement thereof, are owned by Marcode Ltd, its licensors, or other providers of such
material and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual
property or proprietary rights laws.

Personal data we collect about you
Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that
person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed
(anonymous data).
We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have
grouped together as follows:
Representatives of Clients
- Identity Data: includes name and job title.
- Contact Data: includes business address, email address and telephone
numbers, organisation details, where applicable online presence such as LinkedIn profile.
- Marketing and Communications Data: includes your preferences in receiving
marketing from us and our third parties and your communication preferences.
- Profile Data: includes your username, orders made by you on behalf of your
organisation, your interests, preferences, feedback.
- Technical Data: includes your computer's Internet Protocol (IP) address,
your browser type and version, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, the
time spent on each page, the device type, operating system, unique device identifiers,
device settings, and geo-location data.
- Usage Data: includes information about how you use our website and products.
- Browsing History Data: includes information about websites you visit,
searches you conduct, and your online browsing patterns when you use our Chrome extension.
This may include complete URLs and page content analysis.
Website browsers
- Technical Data: includes your computer's Internet Protocol (IP) address,
your browser type and version, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, the
time spent on each page, the device type, operating system, unique device identifiers,
device settings, and geo-location data.
- Usage Data: information about how you use our website, IT, communication
and other systems.
- Browsing History Data: as described above, when you use our Chrome extension.
We also collect, use and share aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data for any
purpose. Aggregated data could be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal
data in law as this data will not directly or indirectly reveal your identity.
We do not collect any "Special Categories" of personal data about you (this includes details
about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation,
political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health, and genetic and
biometric data). Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.
How your personal data is collected
We collect some of this personal data directly from you in person for example by telephone, email
and/or via our website or platform. However, we may also collect information from third parties
including:
- from other representatives within your organisation;
- from other third parties, such as marketing agencies and LinkedIn;
- from cookies on our website or platform;
- through our Chrome extension, which collects browsing history data and may inject searches
into your browsing history as part of its functionality for fraud detection purposes.
How and why we use your personal data
Under data protection law, we can only use your personal data if we have a lawful basis e.g.:
- for our legitimate interests or those of a third party;
- in certain cases where you have given consent; or
- to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
Marketing
We may use your personal data to send you marketing communications and updates about our products.
You have the right to opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time by clicking on
the unsubscribe link within our emails.
We will always treat your personal data with the utmost respect and never sell it to other
organisations for marketing purposes.
Chrome Extension Data Collection and Use
Our Chrome extension collects and processes the following data:
- Browsing history and Search Terms: The URL of search result pages
(including keywords) that may contain fraudulent or non-compliant advertising
- Page content: Analysis of webpage content for fraud indicators
The extension may inject searches into your browsing history as part of its privacy and safety
functionality. This allows our systems to better identify potentially fraudulent patterns and
activities.
Sharing Fraud Detection Results
When our systems detect potential fraudulent or non-compliant advertising activity, we may share
examples of these findings with our customers and partners to help stop this activity and
improve fraud detection capabilities across our network. These examples are anonymized to the
extent possible.
Your rights
Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your
personal data. You have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data
- Request correction of the personal data that we hold about you
- Request erasure of your personal data
- Object to processing of your personal data
- Request restriction of processing of your personal data
- Request the transfer of your personal data to you or to a third party
- Withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process

Spotter Extension Raffle – Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility
1.1 The raffle is open to UK residents aged 18 or over, except employees of the
Promoter, their families, agents, or anyone professionally connected with this promotion.
1.2 By entering, participants confirm they meet these eligibility requirements.
2. Promotional Period
2.1 The raffle runs from 1 January 2026 at 10am until 31 January 2026 at 10pm
("Promotional Period").
2.2 Entries received outside the Promotional Period will not be accepted.
3. How to Enter
3.1 Automatic entry via Spotter Extension: Participants receive one raffle entry
for each advertisement successfully analysed by the Spotter browser extension, subject to the
following:
- A maximum of one entry may be earned per clock hour
- Advertisements available for analysis may be limited at the Promoter's discretion
- The Spotter extension must be installed and functioning correctly
3.2 Free postal/email entry: Participants may enter free of charge, without
using the Spotter extension, by filling the form on the free entry page at https://tryspotter.org/free-entry. Each valid entry received during
the Promotional Period will count as one entry. There is no limit to the number of free entries
per person, but each form fill and submission must be submitted separately.
3.3 No purchase is necessary to enter this raffle.
4. The Prize
4.1 The prize is: GBP/USD25 gift card to Amazon.com or another ecommerce website
of the Promoter's choice.
4.2 The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative is available unless
agreed in writing by the Promoter.
5. Winner Selection and Notification
5.1 The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received during
the Promotional Period within 10 days of the closing date.
5.2 The winner will be notified by email within 10 days of the draw. The prize
must be claimed within 7 days of notification. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not
claim their prize within 7 days of notification, the prize will be redrawn and awarded to an
alternative winner.
5.3 The Promoter's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. Data Protection
6.1 Personal data will be processed in accordance with the Promoter's Privacy

6.2 Entrants' data will be used solely for the purposes of administering this
raffle and will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes without consent.
7. General Conditions
7.1 The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, or suspend the raffle in
the event of circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
7.2 Entry implies acceptance of these terms and conditions.
7.3 These terms are governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject to
the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
7.4 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries lost, delayed, or
corrupted due to technical failures.
Milestone Bonus – Terms and Conditions

1. The Offer
1.1 The Milestone Bonus ("Bonus") is a promotional offer whereby eligible
participants may receive a payment of £5 after maintaining continuous active use of the Spotter
browser extension for a qualifying period of six (6) consecutive months.
1.2 This Bonus is limited to the first 250 users who successfully complete the
qualifying period and meet all eligibility requirements. Once 250 Bonuses have been awarded,
this offer will close to new participants.
1.3 The availability and continuation of this Bonus is at the sole discretion
of the Promoter, who reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate this offer at any time
without prior notice.
2. Eligibility
2.1 To be eligible for the Milestone Bonus, participants must:
- Be UK residents aged 18 or over
- Have a valid Spotter account in good standing
- Have the Spotter browser extension installed and active throughout the qualifying period
- Maintain "active" status as defined in Section 3 below
- Be in full compliance with the Spotter Terms of Service at all times during the qualifying
period
- Not be employees of the Promoter, their families, agents, or anyone professionally connected
with this promotion
2.2 Participants may only claim one Milestone Bonus per person. Multiple accounts
held by the same individual will result in disqualification from this and all other promotions.
3. Active Status Requirements
3.1 To maintain "active" status, participants must scan a minimum of 50
advertisements per week through normal browsing activity using the Spotter extension.
3.2 The qualifying period begins on the date of first extension activation and
consists of 26 consecutive weeks (approximately 6 months). Activity is measured on a weekly
basis, running from Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59 GMT.
3.3 Participants who fail to meet the minimum weekly scan requirement in any
week during the qualifying period will be permanently disqualified from this promotion. The
qualifying period does not reset. Partial weeks do not count towards the qualifying period.
3.4 Uninstalling and reinstalling the extension does not pause or extend the
qualifying period. Any weeks during which the minimum scan requirement is not met, regardless
of the reason, will result in disqualification.
4. Prohibited Conduct
4.1 The following conduct is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate
disqualification:
- Account farming or operating multiple accounts
- Using multiple browser profiles to artificially inflate scan counts
- Using virtual machines, automated scripts, bots, or any other means to generate artificial
activity
- Manipulating or attempting to manipulate the extension's functionality
- Any violation of the Spotter Terms of Service
- Colluding with others to abuse this promotion
4.2 The Promoter reserves the right to investigate any suspected abuse and to
disqualify participants at its sole discretion. Decisions regarding disqualification are final.
5. Payment
5.1 Upon successful completion of the qualifying period, eligible participants
will be notified by email within 14 days.
5.2 Payment will be made within 30 days of the participant confirming their
preferred payment method. Available payment methods are:
5.3 The Bonus amount is fixed at £5 and no alternative value or cash equivalent
beyond the stated payment methods is available.
5.4 Participants are responsible for any tax obligations arising from receipt
of the Bonus.
6. Verification
6.1 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility and activity of
any participant before awarding the Bonus.
6.2 Participants may be required to provide proof of identity and residency
before payment is processed.
6.3 Failure to provide requested verification within 14 days of request will
result in forfeiture of the Bonus.
7. General Conditions
7.1 The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, or suspend this promotion
at any time in its sole discretion, including but not limited to cases of suspected fraud,
technical issues, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
7.2 Any changes to these terms will be communicated via the Spotter website
and/or email notification. Continued use of the Service after such notification constitutes
acceptance of the modified terms.
7.3 The Promoter's decision on all matters relating to this promotion is final,
and no correspondence will be entered into.
7.4 Entry into this promotion implies acceptance of these terms and conditions
and the Spotter Terms of Service.
7.5 These terms are governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject
to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
7.6 The Promoter accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from
participation in this promotion, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
